Bakersfield College celebrated its 109th Commencement on Friday, May 12th, 2023, with a remarkable milestone of 1,418 graduates. The event was streamed live on YouTube and attracted over 1,000 viewers from around the world. The ceremony was hosted by Dr. Nicky Damania, who served as the Master of Ceremonies for the evening. This year's commencement was particularly significant as it marked the last for Dr. Zav Dadabhoy, who concluded his tenure as BC's interim president as he moves in the Deputy Chancellor position for Kern CCD. Dr. Dadabhoy bid farewell to the graduates with a heartfelt speech, expressing his pride in their achievements and wishing them success in their future endeavors.
