BC Musicians On Stage!

Bakersfield College was well-represented at the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra's Opening Night in October! The BC Chamber Singers sang selections from Gershwin's Porgy and Bess alongside the Bakersfield Master Chorale, and plenty of BC Faculty played in the orchestra, as well! The BC Music program's growing relationship with the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra is one of the most exciting things happening in the Performing Arts in our community, and we love celebrating the success of our amazing student and professional musicians. Congratulations on a fantastic performance by the Chamber Singers and professors Kris Tiner (trumpet), Marci Maynard (violin), Alex Wilson (cello), Jeff Dundas (bass clarinet), Katherine Ruiz (Associate Principal bassoon), and John Calanchini (Principal piano).
